Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script by Yi Bingshou was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 212,500.00 (€ 25,082.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yi Bingshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Kaishu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,200,000.00 (€ 369,826.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Clerical Script von Yi Bingshou wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 25.082,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yi Bingshou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Kaishu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.200.000,00 (€ 369.826,20).
