Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 POLY held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Celosia Cristata by Yeh Shih-Chiang. The price achieved of HKD 100,300.00 (€ 10,989.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yeh Shih-Chiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sailing In Venice, which sold at auction in October 2016 for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 29,419.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte POLY die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Celosia Cristata von Yeh Shih-Chiang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 100.300,00 (€ 10.989,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yeh Shih-Chiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sailing In Venice beobachtet, die im Oktober 2016 für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 29.419,81) versteigert wurde.
