Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poem In Regular Script by Ye Shengtao was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 3,075.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ye Shengtao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,266.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poem In Regular Script von Ye Shengtao wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 3.075,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ye Shengtao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.266,50) versteigert wurde.
