A top price for Ye Shengtao - as previously expected
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Ye Shengtao was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,266.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu is the most expensive artwork by Ye Shengtao that we have observed at auctions so far.
