This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
