Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Original Infinity Nets by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 36,500.00 (€ 46,532.34). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Original Infinity Nets von Yayoi Kusama kam im April 2008 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 36.500,00 (€ 46.532,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
