Upper estimate price exceeded by 38 %.
The work Flowers by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 27,500.00 (€ 3,238.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Flowers von Yayoi Kusama kam im April 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 27.500,00 (€ 3.238,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
