Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Chinese Ceramics, Works of Art and Paintings, which included the work Landscape, 1900 by Yao Shuping. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 881.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yao Shuping - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Retreat in Xishan, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,899.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Chinese Ceramics, Works of Art and Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape, 1900 von Yao Shuping zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 881,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Yao Shuping mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Retreat in Xishan beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.899,54) versteigert wurde.
