A top price for Yanggarriny Wunungmurra
In November 2021 Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Dhalwanu Larrakitj, 2002 by Yanggarriny Wunungmurra. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 8,610.00 (€ 7,628.24), 23% above the upper estimate. With this result, Dhalwanu Larrakitj, 2002 is even the most expensive work of art by Yanggarriny Wunungmurra that we have observed at auctions so far.
