In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy by Yang Shoujing. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,401.98), 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Shoujing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Offical Script Calligraphy in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 767,000.00 (€ 90,259.99).
