Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yang Qian could be acquired at Phillips in London in April 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRIC Theme Sale auction, the work Water Drop Untitled (blue) changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 863.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Qian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 607,500.00 (€ 53,106.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Qian konnte im April 2010 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion BRIC Theme Sale wechselte die Arbeit Water Drop Untitled (blue) für GBP 750,00 (€ 863,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Qian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 607.500,00 (€ 53.106,62).
