Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Yang Qian could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Bathroom Prostitute Series changed hands for HKD 6,250.00 (€ 730.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yang Qian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 607,500.00 (€ 53,106.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yang Qian konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Bathroom Prostitute Series für HKD 6.250,00 (€ 730,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yang Qian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 607.500,00 (€ 53.106,62).
