Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Bathroom Series by Yang Qian. It changed hands for a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 12,300.01) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yang Qian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 607,500.00 (€ 53,106.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bathroom Series von Yang Qian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 12.300,01) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yang Qian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 607.500,00 (€ 53.106,62).
