A top price for Yang Jisheng - as previously expected
In September 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Roy and Marilyn Papp Collection of Chinese Paintings, which included the work Travelling At Tianhua Mountain by Yang Jisheng. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,796.76), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Travelling At Tianhua Mountain is the most expensive artwork by Yang Jisheng that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im September 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Roy and Marilyn Papp Collection of Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Travelling At Tianhua Mountain von Yang Jisheng zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.796,76) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Travelling At Tianhua Mountain das teuerste Kunstwerk von Yang Jisheng, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
