This artwork by Din Yang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. In the Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work Fish under the midday sun sold for HKD 180,000.00 (€ 18,079.95) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Din Yang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Tree and Beneath sold at auction in November 2005 with the realized price of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 28,885.50).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Din Yang erzielte im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Fish under the midday sun für HKD 180.000,00 (€ 18.079,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Din Yang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Tree and Beneath im November 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 28.885,50).
