Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Boats In The Gorge by Yan Jiyuan. The price achieved of HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,563.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yan Jiyuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lady, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 113,400.00 (€ 13,463.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats In The Gorge von Yan Jiyuan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.563,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yan Jiyuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lady beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 113.400,00 (€ 13.463,01) versteigert wurde.
