This artwork by Yan Jiabao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Flowers and Birds／Landscape sold for HKD 21,250.00 (€ 2,432.06) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00. This high result makes Flowers and Birds／Landscape the most expensive artwork by Yan Jiabao that we have observed at auctions so far.
