This artwork by Yan Delin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Seal Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 38,916.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. This high result makes Seal Script Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Yan Delin that we have observed at auctions so far.
