The work Couplet In Seal Script by Yan Delin was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The auction ended at the price of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,629.24), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yan Delin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Seal Script Calligraphy in November 2021 with an auction result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 38,916.45).

Die Arbeit Couplet In Seal Script von Yan Delin wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.629,24) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yan Delin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Seal Script Calligraphy im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 38.916,45).
