Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unknown by Yamaguchi Soken was sold in the JapaneseArt and Design Including Netsuke from the Estate of His Royal Highness The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester, KG.,KT.,KP auction at Christies in London in July 2006. It achieved a price of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,634.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yamaguchi Soken achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three Court Ladies in September 2004 with an auction result of USD 65,725.00 (€ 52,931.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
