Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Boats in a winter landscape by Yamaguchi Soken was sold in the Japanese and Korean Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2001. The price achieved of USD 7,050.00 (€ 8,016.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yamaguchi Soken have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Three Court Ladies in September 2004 with an auction result of USD 65,725.00 (€ 52,931.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Boats in a winter landscape von Yamaguchi Soken wurde im März 2001 in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.050,00 (€ 8.016,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yamaguchi Soken auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Three Court Ladies im September 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 65.725,00 (€ 52.931,46).
