This artwork by Xu Yue achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Seven-character Poem in Running Script sold for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,875.27) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Yue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lotus In The Pond in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 75,667.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Yue erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Seven-character Poem in Running Script für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.875,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Yue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lotus In The Pond im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 75.667,50).
