Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by Xu Qian was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 13,860.00 (€ 1,660.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Qian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,847.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Xu Qian kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 13.860,00 (€ 1.660,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Qian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.847,72).
