The work Poem From Tao Yuanming by Xu Qian was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2020. The auction ended at the price of HKD 10,000.00 (€ 1,079.68), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Qian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,847.72).

Die Arbeit Poem From Tao Yuanming von Xu Qian wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 10.000,00 (€ 1.079,68) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Qian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.847,72).
