Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Eagle on Pine by Xu Linlu was worth HKD 47,880.00 (€ 5,214.05) to a buyer in August 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Xu Linlu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers And Fruit in April this year with an auction result of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 24,508.70).

Die Arbeit Eagle on Pine von Xu Linlu war einem Käufer im August 2021 HKD 47.880,00 (€ 5.214,05) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Linlu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers And Fruit im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 24.508,70).
