This artwork by Xu Lele achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Releasing The Crane; Cleansing The Horse sold for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,746.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Xu Lele have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,600,000.00 (€ 148,810.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xu Lele erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Releasing The Crane; Cleansing The Horse für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.746,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Xu Lele auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.600.000,00 (€ 148.810,38).
