Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cursive Calligraphy - Wang Yuanqi'S Inscription On Paintings by Xu Jing was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,291.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xu Jing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Query Of Daoism, which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 100,300.00 (€ 11,320.62).

Die Arbeit Cursive Calligraphy - Wang Yuanqi'S Inscription On Paintings von Xu Jing kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.291,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xu Jing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Query Of Daoism beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 100.300,00 (€ 11.320,62) versteigert wurde.
