This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xu Fang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Springs And Rocks At Mount Tianping in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 514,000.00 (€ 457,376.76).
