Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art, which included the work Flower No. 6 by Xiao Fan. It changed hands for a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,102.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 65,000.00 – 85,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xiao Fan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Honor to Magritte, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 264,000.00 (€ 25,138.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flower No. 6 von Xiao Fan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.102,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 65.000,00 – 85.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xiao Fan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Honor to Magritte beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 264.000,00 (€ 25.138,18) versteigert wurde.
