This work of art by Xavier van Ryser could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction, the work Mixed summer flowers in a vase on a plinth changed hands for GBP 235.00 (€ 370.88) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Other works by Xavier van Ryser have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2008 by the work Still Life of Flowers On A Ledge at GBP 375.00 (€ 502.70).
