Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior by Xavier Mellery was sold in the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. The price achieved of EUR 600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Xavier Mellery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les fiancés de Marken en costumes d'apparat in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 10,625.00.

Die Arbeit Interior von Xavier Mellery wurde im Januar 2007 in der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Xavier Mellery erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les fiancés de Marken en costumes d'apparat im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.625,00.
