Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape after Yuan Dynasty Style by Wu Zishen. The price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,894.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Zishen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Temple Amidst The Clouds, which sold at auction in October 2011 for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,503.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape after Yuan Dynasty Style von Wu Zishen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.894,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Zishen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Temple Amidst The Clouds beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.503,41) versteigert wurde.
