In April 2014 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas, which included the work Swimming Ducks by Wu Zi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 23,000.00 (€ 2,139.15), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wu Zi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 115,000.00 (€ 11,257.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas durch, in der auch die Arbeit Swimming Ducks von Wu Zi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 23.000,00 (€ 2.139,15) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Zi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 115.000,00 (€ 11.257,21).
