Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script by Wu Zi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,037.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Zi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 115,000.00 (€ 11,257.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script von Wu Zi kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.037,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Zi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 115.000,00 (€ 11.257,21) versteigert wurde.
