Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy In Kaishu by Wu Yusheng. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,127.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wu Yusheng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Kaishu, which sold at auction in April 2021 for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 14,839.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu von Wu Yusheng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.127,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wu Yusheng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu beobachtet, die im April 2021 für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 14.839,30) versteigert wurde.
