This artwork by Wu Shixian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Huts Deep in a Mountain Landscape sold for USD 2,250 (€ 2,063) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Shixian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in October 2009 with an auction result of HKD 237,500 (€ 20,764).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Shixian erzielte im September 2019 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Huts Deep in a Mountain Landscape für USD 2.250 (€ 2.063) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.000. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Shixian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 237.500 (€ 20.764).
