This artwork by Wu Shanming achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2020. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Lady sold for HKD 17,500.00 (€ 1,889.44) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Shanming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow River Morning Song in June 2015 with an auction result of CNY 566,400.00 (€ 81,908.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Shanming erzielte im November 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Lady für HKD 17.500,00 (€ 1.889,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Shanming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow River Morning Song im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 566.400,00 (€ 81.908,12).
