In June 2021 Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Seated Guanyin With An Attendant by Wu Qingxia. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 102,000.00 (€ 11,079.84), 70% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wu Qingxia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Leaping Carps in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 79,420.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated Guanyin With An Attendant von Wu Qingxia zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 102.000,00 (€ 11.079,84) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Qingxia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Leaping Carps im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 79.420,66).
