A top price for Wu Qingxia
The work Leaping Carps by Wu Qingxia was worth HKD 860,000.00 (€ 79,420.66) to a buyer in October 2011. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Leaping Carps the most expensive artwork by Wu Qingxia that we have observed at auctions so far.
