Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Peony by Wu Qiaoliu. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 22,500.00 (€ 2,429.28). Admittedly, works by Wu Qiaoliu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lotus in Summer in May this year with an auction result of HKD 81,900.00 (€ 9,816.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peony von Wu Qiaoliu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 22.500,00 (€ 2.429,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Qiaoliu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lotus in Summer im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.900,00 (€ 9.816,62).
