Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Huan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2004. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Cranes sold for HKD 167,300.00 (€ 16,853.38) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wu Huan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two Cranes and Rock sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 20,485.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Huan erzielte im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Cranes für HKD 167.300,00 (€ 16.853,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wu Huan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Two Cranes and Rock im Mai 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 20.485,22).
