In September 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Seal Script by Wu Dongfa. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,994.33), 33% above the upper estimate. Other works by Wu Dongfa have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 113,400.00 (€ 12,559.97) in October 2020 for the work Landscape After Chen Chun.

Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script von Wu Dongfa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.994,33) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Wu Dongfa haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 113.400,00 (€ 12.559,97) im Oktober 2020 für die Arbeit Landscape After Chen Chun beobachtet.
