Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring by Wright Barker was auctioned at Sothebys in Olympia in March 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,239.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wright Barker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Couples Resting In A Kennel in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 127,000.00 (€ 149,870.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spring von Wright Barker kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Olympia zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.239,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wright Barker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Couples Resting In A Kennel im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 127.000,00 (€ 149.870,19).
