In the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California auction, the work 15 Sunflowers In Vase X, 2014 sold for USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,083.70) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wouter van Riessen; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in September 2011 with the realized price of EUR 3,750.00.
