Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Strange Fruit by Woody van Amen was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in April 2011. The price achieved of EUR 3,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Woody van Amen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Mont Cervin 4478 M.' - Matterhorn, which sold at auction in April 2011 for EUR 10,000.00.

Die Arbeit Strange Fruit von Woody van Amen kam im April 2011 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Woody van Amen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Mont Cervin 4478 M.' - Matterhorn beobachtet, die im April 2011 für EUR 10.000,00 versteigert wurde.
