In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work In the Mood for Love - Day One by Wong Kar Wai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 4,284,000.00 (€ 476,535.66), 43% above the upper estimate.
