Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction (RED) ONLINE, which included the work Surrounded Islands, Biscayne Bay, Greater Miami, Florida, 1980-83 by Wolfgang Volz. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,001.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wolfgang Volz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Umbrellas (Project For Japan And Usa), which sold at auction in September 2015 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,318.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion (RED) ONLINE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Surrounded Islands, Biscayne Bay, Greater Miami, Florida, 1980-83 von Wolfgang Volz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.001,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang Volz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Umbrellas (Project For Japan And Usa) beobachtet, die im September 2015 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.318,58) versteigert wurde.
