Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Summer Landscape. by Woldemar Toppelius was auctioned at Bukowski in Helsinki in May 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 780.00. Admittedly, works by Woldemar Toppelius have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Motif From Katajanokka Helsinki". in June 2013 with an auction result of EUR 3,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Summer Landscape. von Woldemar Toppelius im Mai 2012 bei Bukowski in Helsinki versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 780,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Woldemar Toppelius auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Motif From Katajanokka Helsinki". im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.400,00.
