In May 2013 VAN HAM held the auction Alte Kunst, which included the work Soldat zu Pferde vor Bäuerin by Wojciech Kossak. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,354.00 68% above the estimate. Admittedly, works by Wojciech Kossak have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Polish Horseman in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 22,100.00 (€ 28,112.17).

Im Mai 2013 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Alte Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Soldat zu Pferde vor Bäuerin von Wojciech Kossak zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.354,00 und damit 68% über dem Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wojciech Kossak auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Polish Horseman im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.100,00 (€ 28.112,17).
