Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work A Turk In Santa Sofia Mosque, Istanbul by Wladimir Petroff for GBP 120.00 (€ 173.64). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wladimir Petroff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The nave of the Hagia Sophia in February 2021 with an auction result of GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,117.32).

Im Juni 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Turk In Santa Sofia Mosque, Istanbul von Wladimir Petroff für GBP 120,00 (€ 173,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wladimir Petroff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The nave of the Hagia Sophia im Februar 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.117,32).
